Webcast - Mystery Book Buzz

Date: Wednesday, August 26, 2009
Time: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Place: Online : www.libraryjournal.com/mysterybookbuzz2009
Cost: Free

Mystery fiction is high on the list of public library patrons - and the genre is as broad as it is deep. While detective fiction may be the most popular form of mystery fiction, there are dozens of other variations which keep these avid readers returning to the library again and again, including thrillers, cozies, romantic suspense and good old police procedurals. Library foot traffic is up all around the country and so is circulation. Help your library patrons escape momentarily from the stress and anxiety of the current economic situation by filling the library shelves with the latest titles from their favorite mystery writers!

Panelists include representatives from several major publishing houses, including Poisoned Pen Press and HarperCollins. Wilda Williams, fiction editor for Library Journal, will moderate. The webcast is free, but pre-registration is required. Register at www.LibraryJournal.com/mysterybookbuzz2009. If you are unable to view the webcast on August 26, registering now will provide access to the archived presentation for 12 months.
