Grant Opportunity - My Hometown Helper

Hamburger Helper’s MyHometownHelper.com will continue to support initiatives that help hometowns across America through the spring of 2008. Awards will be based on the merit of the project as well as its impact and support within the community. Examples of eligible projects include the purchase of playground equipment; books for schools, libraries, or literacy programs; supplies for local food banks; and tutoring or job training initiatives. All requests for funding must be sponsored by a nonprofit organization, municipal agency, civic organization, or public school. Applicants can request a one-time award ranging from $500 to $15,000. Applications will be accepted from August 1 to September 30, 2007, and February 1 to March 31, 2008. Visit the MyHometownHelper.com web site for an online application information. The application consists of a 250-word essay and basic information about the applying organization.
