PageTurner Awards

Nominations are being accepted through October 16 for the 2006 James Patterson PageTurner Awards. Bestselling author Patterson has pledged $500,000 in cash awards to honor individuals, schools, libraries and companies who "find original and effective ways to promote the excitement of books and reading."

Libraries are eligible to apply for the $100,000 PageTurner of the Year Award, one of two $50,000 PageTurner Par Excellence Awards, and one of forty $5,000 PageTurner Champion Awards.

The application is fairly brief, and must be submitted electronically at http://www.pattersonpageturner.org/.
